MBHTE Launches Document Management and Tracking System to Accelerate Digital Transformation

The Ministry of Basic, Higher and Technical Education (MBHTE) officially launched the Document Management and Tracking System (DMS/DTS) as part of its continuing commitment to digital transformation and improved public service delivery.

The new system provides a centralized platform for the preparation, routing, approval, tracking, and archiving of official documents throughout the Ministry. It replaces manual monitoring processes with an electronic workflow that enables real-time tracking of document status while promoting greater efficiency and accountability.

The DMS/DTS introduces several key features designed to enhance document management, including electronic document preparation, workflow automation, draft and final document management, digital routing, audit trails, notifications, role-based access control, and comprehensive reporting tools.

According to the Information and Communications Division, the implementation of the system is expected to significantly reduce document processing time, improve collaboration among offices, strengthen records management, and ensure that official documents are securely maintained throughout their lifecycle.

The system will be utilized by the Office of the Minister, Deputy Ministers, bureaus, divisions, provincial offices, schools, higher education institutions, and technical vocational institutions under the Ministry. Training sessions and user orientations will also be conducted to ensure the smooth adoption of the new platform.

The launch of the DMS/DTS reflects MBHTE's commitment to modernizing government services through digital innovation while promoting transparency, efficiency, and responsive governance for the Bangsamoro people.

The Ministry encourages all concerned personnel to actively participate in the implementation of the system and adhere to the established electronic document workflow to maximize its benefits.
